Our Mission
To celebrate Beechworth’s heritage and community spirit by delivering a vibrant, inclusive, and memorable not-for-profit festival that brings people together and showcases the best of our region.
The Beechworth Golden Horseshoes Festival is proudly driven by a passionate committee of local volunteers dedicated to celebrating the rich history, vibrant community spirit, and unique character of Beechworth.
As a not-for-profit community incorporated group, the committee works year-round to plan, coordinate, and deliver a festival that reflects the pride, creativity, and heritage of our town. Every event, activity, and celebration is made possible through the support of volunteers, local businesses, sponsors, and community partnerships.
For generations, the festival has brought together locals and visitors alike to honour Beechworth’s gold rush heritage through parades, community events, live entertainment, markets, and family-friendly celebrations.
Our committee is made up of people from diverse backgrounds all united by a shared commitment to keeping this much-loved tradition alive for future generations.
We believe the Golden Horseshoes Festival is more than just an annual event. It is a celebration of community connection, regional culture, and the stories that have shaped Beechworth into the remarkable town it is today.
As a volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation, all proceeds raised through the festival are reinvested back into delivering future events and supporting the ongoing success of this treasured community tradition.
Whether you are attending for the first time, volunteering, performing, sponsoring, or participating in the parade, we thank you for being part of the Golden Horseshoes tradition.
