Every helping hand makes a difference.
Every Easter Saturday, our town comes alive with music, parades, food, history and community spirit, and you can help make it happen!
The festival is a community-run tradition, and it only happens because people from Beechworth and beyond put their hands up to help. From setting up and welcoming visitors to supporting the parade, performers and festival activities, every helping hand makes a difference.
You don’t need to be part of the committee or have festival experience. Whether you can spare an hour, a few hours or more, there’s a way for you to get involved.

working groups
Our volunteers work together in working groups, each with a different part of the festival to look after.
There’s a job for every age, skill and energy level.

🎪 Events & Activities
Help bring the festival program to life and support activities throughout the day.

🐴 Parade & Street Events
Be part of the action, helping with parade preparations, marshals, performers and keeping things running smoothly.

🤝 Community & Volunteers
Help welcome and coordinate volunteers, community groups and participants.

📣 Marketing & Promotion
Help spread the word about the festival through social media, local promotion, photography and more.
Be part of something special
Love being right in the middle of the action? There’s a role for you. Prefer working behind the scenes? We need you too. Have an hour to spare, a whole day, or want to be involved throughout the year? You can choose how much you do.
We especially welcome young people who want to meet others, learn new skills, gain experience and be part of one of Beechworth’s much-loved community traditions.
You don’t have to know exactly where you fit. Come along, meet the team and find a working group that interests you.
Interested in getting involved?
