This year’s theme celebrates the strength, creativity, and community spirit that have carried Beechworth through the ages. Whether you’re building a float, marching with a group, or showcasing local talent, your participation helps bring the story of our town to life.

The Grand Parade takes place at 2 PM on Easter Saturday

Parade Participant Agreement

As a participant in the parade you agree to:

  • Follow all safety guidelines, direction and instructions of the executive committee and parade marshals

  • Ensure all drivers are licensed and vehicles/floats are safe and roadworthy.

  • Avoid alcohol or drugs before and during the parade.

  • Not throw anything into the crowd — including lollies, flour, confetti, toys, or any other items.

    • items may be handed out

  • Keep sustainability in mind as a festival participant

  • Supervise your group members, especially children.

  • Be friendly and respectful to all attendees, crew, committee members, volunteers, and staff, valuing everyone regardless of background or identity.

  • acknowledge that Organisers are not responsible for loss, damage, or injury

  • agree and give permission for the Golden Horseshoes Festival Committee & its contractors to take, use & distribute photographs, in order to promote the parade and/or the festival. 

By submitting this application, I agree to the Parade Participant Agreement and declare that the information provided is true and correct. I understand that providing false information may affect my application to have a float in the Golden Horseshoes Festival parade.
